美中实验学校洛城校区 (ACS Rockville) 创办于2004年，宗旨为“服务社区，弘扬中华文化，培养能适应美、中社会的优秀华裔后代”。学校采用“寓教于乐”和”小班制”灵活教学格局，以卓著的教学成果和规模，成为国务院侨办《海外华文教育示范学校》；美国公立教育系统认可本校学生的中文学分及义工服务小时；马里兰州洛克维尔市也授予本校《最佳语言学校奖》。目前我校有100多位教职员工，800多名学生。夏令营作为国务院侨办“中华文化大乐园”和中国侨联“亲情中华”夏令营海外合作基地，管理严谨课程丰富，每年学生都超过700人次，成为大华府地区的一所特色鲜明、功能多样、远近闻名的夏令营，是孩子们暑期度假学习的首选场所。
本校中文课程采用《暨大中文》、《马立平中文》、《新双双中文》和《美洲华语》四套不同的中文教材，以适应不同家庭和程度的学生。我校不但是美东地区首家采用《新双双中文》教材，也是大华府地区最早开设《马立平中文》的学校之一；还开设了中文SAT及AP备考课程，每年都有不少学生以优异成绩通过中文SAT和AP考试。同时，学校也开设了广受学生和家长欢迎的绘画、舞蹈、声乐、器乐、武术、瑜伽、球类、数学、写作、电脑编程等各种副课30多门，也和多家教育机构联合开办英文演讲与写作班，Aretree趣味数学班、SAT英文写作强化班和各种电脑编程班。有很多学员在国内外征文、绘画等各种竞赛中屡创佳绩。
建校以来，学校一直通过各种文化活动为学生提供学习、实践和提高的平台，培养学生对民族文化的兴趣与认同感。我校自2012年起每年举办“《中华杯》美国青少年汉语朗诵比赛”（双年）和“《中华杯》美国青少年数学竞赛”（单年），还有“华盛顿地区汉服成人礼”及已成为本地著名品牌的“美中春晚”。美国中国风艺术协会特邀中国专业舞蹈教师授课的“华梦计划”高级舞蹈培训班，我校是大华府地区唯一授权培训基地。各校区还会因地制宜举办结业典礼及汇演、庆祝传统新年、野餐、万圣节快闪游行、趣味运动会等各种活动。借助广阔的文化资源，我校还多次接待国内高端艺术团体来华府演出，也率领学生参加“社区日”、赈灾捐献、传统庆祝等各种社区活动以及组织本校学生回国参加“寻根之旅”夏令营。
